V8 Creeping Bentgrass

V8 is a brand new state-of-the-art creeping bentgrass cuitvar developed for the elite premium golf course. V8 is currently undergoing beta-testing at a number of golf courses worldwide, while at the same time it is receiving a multi-state analysis in the NTEP putting green trial.

V8 is a hybrid between two preexisting bent varieties, selected specifically for:
-Close-cut tolerance for lightning fast greens
-Dollar spot disease resistance, greatly reducing the quantity of fungicide required.

CHARACTERISTICS

-V8 has one of the finest leaf textures of any creeping bentgrass.
-It is the #1 most dense bentgrass avaliable today according to NTEP.
-Greens up in the spring earlier than Penncross for additional weeks of golf play.
-A medium dark green color - darker then Penncross and lighter than Alpha.
-Color persists well into the autumn with better than average frost tolerance.
-Adapts well to a wide range of putting green mowing heights, as low as.080\"
