For control of broadleaf weeds, including invasive and
noxious weeds and certain woody plants, in native or natural
areas that are not regularly mowed or maintained
Naturalized areas are an increasingly common trend on golf courses. These areas of tall grass and native vegetation not only reduce inputs, but they enhance wildlife habitat. But these areas still require maintenance. To simplify native and naturalized area management, NativeKlean herbicide was specifically designed to be a low-maintenance solution. With application flexibility and long residual control, NativeKlean enables efficient use of limited resources while controlling high-anxiety herbaceous weeds, including Canada thistle, cocklebur, horsenettle, pigweed,
plantain and ragweed.
NativeKlean herbicide offers a wide application window and can be applied in spring or fall. NativeKlean is rainfast within two hours and does not need supplemental irrigation. It has limited mobility in soil. Apply NativeKlean with equipment that ensures a coarse low-pressure spray, at the recommended rate of 2 pt./A once a year in the fall or spring. Do not apply more than 2.1 pt./A (34 fl. oz.) per year.
NativeKlean can be tank-mixed with Turflon Ester Ultra specialty herbicide to increase the spectrum of control on woody species. It can also be tank-mixed with Dimension specialty herbicide for preemergence weed control of grassy weeds, including crabgrass.
NativeKlean can be applied at a rate of 0.8 to 1.2 pints (13 to 19 fluid oz)
of product per acre in early to mid spring when weeds are less than
2 inches tall. Applications in this rate range are most effective when
conditions are favorable for plant growth. Applications can be made
at any time weeds are in active growth but higher rates may be needed for control.
