Active Ingredient: Mefluidide This new generation PGR provides turf management professionals with an efficient means of reducing the rate of growth and volume of clippings by 50% or more and inhibiting unslightly seedheads. EMBARK Lite is labeled for use as a foliar spray application on virtually all the major species of turf grasses and most fine turf sites, including home lawns, The EMBARK Lite formulation and recommendaflons for use are designed to overcome problems with discoloration or off-color, which is unacceptable in highly-visible, quality lawns. The mode of action is identical to that of EMBARK 2S. It is absorbed through the leaves. Following absorption, it rapidly moves to the growing point where it interrupts cell divison, stem elongation, and seedhead development, Roots continue to grow. At the application rates recommended, the duraflon of PGR activity is relatively short - 3 to 4 weeks for most situations. Used as a 'mowing aid' (to reduce clippings), the application should be timed to the peak growth period. Apply EMBARK Lite shortly after the second or third mowing in the spring. Fall is another use period. Mowers can zip through the turf and the headaches caused by clippings - double-mowing, blowing, raking and hauling - are minimal. Or the frequency of mowing can be reduced.Rates: Cool-season grasses the 'mowing aid' rate is 2 1/2 qts, of EMBARK Lite per acre. Poa annua seedheads in golf fairways are controlled at a rate of 1 qt. to 2 1/2 qts, per acre. Edging applications vary for different turfgrass species; see label. Once the growth regulation wears off, treated turf areas tend to stay greener for extra weeks and vigorous tillering often occurs. EMBARK Lite can be applied with other herbicides labeled for turfgrass use and may also be tank-mixed with other chemicals. Please try a small test area since some discoloration may occur at certain rates.
